Mukti Khaire
Assistant Professor, Harvard Business School
Mukti Khaire is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Business School. She teaches the required first-year MBA course, “The Entrepreneurial Manager.” She also teaches in the HBS Executive Education programs dealing with entrepreneurship and innovation (such as 'Launching New Ventures'), including custom executive education offerings.
Mukti received her PhD in Management from Columbia Business School. Mukti’s research interests lie at the intersection of entrepreneurship, intangible or social firm resources, and creative industries. Mukti received an award from the Eugene Lang Center for Entrepreneurship at Columbia Business School for her research on entrepreneurship in the advertising industry. Her paper, “Great Oaks from Little Acorns Grow: Strategies for New Venture Growth,” based on her dissertation is included in the Best Paper Proceedings of the 2005 Academy of Management Conference. Her papers have been accepted at various conferences including the American Sociological Association Conference, and the Organization Science Winter Conference. Her paper with Heather Haveman (on founder ideology) was included in “Columbia Ideas at Work” which showcases cutting-edge research at Columbia Business School which has practical applications. Mukti’s research has also recently featured in the Entrepreneurship section of HBS Working Knowledge.
Before Columbia University, Mukti got her Masters in Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. For her B.S and M.S. from the University of Pune she received the Sathe Memorial Award and the Joshi Memorial Award for the top-ranked graduate. She worked as an environmental management consultant before IIT and co-founded a non-profit venture for enabling grassroots level biodiversity conservation

Inderpal Singh Mumick
CEO Kirusa
Dr. Inderpal Singh Mumick is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Kirusa, Berkeley Heights, NJ, which he co-founded with colleagues from AT&T, Lucent, and Airtouch. A serial entrepreneur, Inderpal previously co-founded Savera Systems, Murray Hill, NJ, where he was the CEO and the CTO. Before Savera, Dr. Mumick was a Principal Technical Staff Member at AT&T Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, a Member of the Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, and a Research Student Associate at IBM Almaden Research Center, San Jose, CA.
Dr. Mumick is the author of eighteen issued patents, over ten patent pending applications, and over 40 technical papers in leading journals and conferences and the co-editor of a book on Materialized Views. He received a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India, in 1986, where he was awarded the President's Gold Medal, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University in 1991. He further completed Mini MBAs in Finance and General Management from the AT&T School of Business in 1996 and 1998, and an Executive MBA for Growing Companies from Stanford University in 2000. Dr. Mumick is listed in various Marquis Who's Who publications.

Sharad Devarajan
President, CEO Virgin Comics LLC
Mr. Devarajan is the co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of the recently formed Virgin Comics LLC and Virgin Animation Pvt. Ltd, a set of companies he co-founded with Sir Richard Branson and the Virgin Group, acclaimed author Deepak Chopra and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.
In addition, Mr. Devarajan remains the Co-Founder, President & CEO of Gotham Entertainment Group, South Asia's leading comic book publisher. Mr. Devarajan was instrumental in securing and maintaining licensing arrangements with DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Worldwide Publishing. Through Gotham Entertainment Group, Mr. Devarajan has established a leading South Asian publishing Company that caters to youth oriented magazines. In 2004, Mr. Devarajan worked with Marvel Comics to reinvent the Spider-Man character as an Indian boy growing up in Mumbai. Unlike traditional translations of western comic magazines, the new series, "Spider-Man: India" was heralded as the industry's first "trans-creation"
His previous experience includes MTV Networks, Elektra Entertainment Group, Ford Modeling Agency and DC Comics; For his accomplishments, Mr. Devarajan was featured as CNNfn's 'Maverick in The Morning' and profiled in The New York Post, Businessweek, The Asian Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and NPR's Fresh Air. He holds a BFA in Fine Arts from Syracuse University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Vish Mishra

Vish Mishra is a venture capitalist with Clearstone Venture Partners since 2002. Clearstone is an early-stage technology fund with over $650M in committed capital with offices in Santa Monica, Menlo Park, California and Mumbai India. Silicon Valley veteran, he has over 30 years of leadership and management experience in the technology industry covering computers, internet, communications and software. He has served as a founder of Telera (sold to Alcatel) and co-founder of Excelan (sold to Novell), generating over $1B in revenues. Vish has also served as a CEO and director of several startup companies.
Vish is very involved with Clearstone's India strategy and investments. He has spoken at numerous industry and academic gatherings on topics of entrepreneurship, investing and business-building. Through Clearstone's two dozen investments with global operations, Vish brings direct knowledge about global investing and business trends.

In India, it is co-chaired by Dr. Arun Shourie, former Minister of Disinvestment, Communications and Information Technology, and Mr. Salman Khurshid, former Minister of External Affairs. The USIBA has led Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack’s and former Virginia Governor Mark Warner’s delegations to India as well as trade delegations from several states including North Carolina, New Mexico, and Alabama. The USIBA, in conjunction with the House International Relations Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, launched the Congressional Task Force on US-India Investment and Trade Relations on Capitol Hill. USIBA, in cooperation with the Task Force, parallels the work of the US-India CEO Forum at the legislative level.
Mr. Shah is also the Founder Chairman of the Future Leaders Council of the US India Political Action Committee (USINPAC), the largest national bi-partisan advocacy organization representing the over 2 million Indian Americans. The USINPAC works with members of Congress of both parties, as well as the administration, to ensure that the community’s concerns are addressed. For the past four years, Mr. Shah has co-led US Congressional and CEO Delegations for talks with the Prime Minister and top government and business leaders of India.
Mr. Shah holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an Honors BBA degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University, where he graduated at the top of his class. He has also completed the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program led by former President, George H. Bush.
