Harindra Singh laid the foundation of the country’s largest and one of its kind entertainment, media, communications conglomerate on Jan 2, 1984 when ‘Percept’ came into being as a full service advertising agency. Today, Percept is recognised as one of the leaders in the entertainment, media and communications domain.
Harindra is the Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of Percept Limited. Today, Percept has a team of 1200 people across 62 offices in India and the Middle East; and capitalized billings of about INR 26.16 billion (FY’09).
Having begun his career in 1980 at Interads, one of the top 10 advertising agencies then, he rose from being a Management Trainee to a Regional Manager. Backed by a Bachelors’ Degree in Science, a Diploma in Hotel Management as well as Advertising & Public Relations, from the University of Mumbai, Harindra today, is regarded as one of the thought leaders in the field of marketing communications.
Harindra is Director on the Board of several Advertising, Media, Entertainment and Hospitality companies and is a key industry spokesperson in the Entertainment, Media and Communications domain. He has featured as a speaker on various industry forums.
Harindra has been instrumental in making Percept a truly global organisation. He led the Percept partnership with Aegis Group plc, a leading media company globally, with brands like Carat, Posterscope, Isobar, Vizium, amongst others; and with Hakuhodo Inc, the 8th largest advertising agency worldwide and the 2nd largest in Japan.
As the Founder-Promoter of Percept, it was his vision to build an indigenous organisation with global imprints. With network offices across 19 countries worldwide including USA, UK, Japan and the Middle East, Percept is well on its way to being a globally competitive player in the entertainment, media and communications industry. He has played a key role in mapping out the growth strategy of Percept though the M&A route that brought in immense value into the business. Suhel Seth Managing Director of Counselage
Counselage is India’s only strategic brand management and marketing consultancy focused towards creating over-arching corporate reputation and respect. It works for Tata Steel, The Taj Group of Hotels, Tata Teleservices, NDTV, Vodafone, Hutchison Whampoa, Coca Cola, Max New York Life, Hero Honda and American Express amongst others.
Suhel has several passions: he is a regular speaker at industry meets; is a lecturer at various Indian Institutes of Management. Suhel was also the Keynote Speaker at the Indian Advertising Congress in 1998. Suhel has also been a speaker at all Marketing Summits organised by CII and was the Chairman of the Marketing Summits for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Suhel sits on the global advisory boards of British Airways and Cavendish and on the regional boards of Citibank India, Coca Cola India, Star TV and Sixt Cars.
Suhel has published several papers on `The changing Indian Consumer':Suhel has also written extensively on the impact of advertising and its linkages to societal influences such as religion and culture. In February 2002, Suhel’s first book `In your face’ was published. More recently, Suhel has been commissioned by Penguin India to write a book, which is tentatively titled `The Indian Mindset’: this will be the first Indian marketing book to be published by Penguin India. Suhel has also just finished a book `Of roots and wings': 50 years of Indian Airlines.

Gopal Krishna Vice-President & Head of Audience – Emerging Markets, Yahoo!
In a career spanning 2 decades, Gopal has been a senior corporate executive, successful serial entrepreneur (Internet, Media, high-tech and KPO), management consultant and an advisor to several start ups and venture capital firms.
At present, Gopal is a Vice-President and the Head of Audience of Emerging Markets for Yahoo!, spanning 40 other countries in South East Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa including 3 BRIC nations (India, Brazil and Russia).
Earlier, Gopal was both the acting Country Manager and the Head of Audience for Yahoo! India. He launched many innovative experimental products including Glue (a new search experience), Indianized Maps (considered the best in India) and SpotM (a new social and communications product), and among others created a path-breaking partnership with ICC (the apex Cricketing body in the world) and started “Yahoo! Search Buzz Awards”. Under his leadership, almost all the Yahoo! properties attained #1 position in their respective categories including Cricket, Movies, News, Email and Front Page.
Prior to joining Yahoo!, he had setup a different kind of seed stage Venture Capital fund focused on Internet and Mobile space in India. Gopal was the Founder, Chairman & CEO of thinkIndia, Inc., a venture backed Silicon Valley new media start-up that merged with Rediff.com (NASDAQ:REDF). He also co-founded FlatIron Information Services (a KPO) with a VC firm and scaled India operations as the Head of Indian Operations for the investee company, Pipal Research Corporation (acquired by First Source Ltd, BSE:FSL). As a consultant with McKinsey & Company, he served clients in telecom and high-tech spaces. At Schlumberger, he was one of the youngest project leaders where he led design and coding of one of the most popular software packages. His first entrepreneurial venture was a Television Production company focused on programming for Asian Americans.
Gopal earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School, an MS (Electrical Engineering) from University of Hawaii at Manoa with highest distinction and B.Tech (Electronics Engineering) from Institute of Technology, India with highest honors.
An avid traveler (cultural/adventure/religious tourism), sports and movie buff, he has keen interest in photography, real-estate investments, philosophy and intersection of human behavior, business management and history. He is a TiE Charter Member and was an early member of Band of Angels, India.Top

Sonit Seth - Moderator Real Estate Consultant for RE/MAX
Born and raised in Cambridge, MA Sonit Seth is currently a successful Real Estate Consultant with RE/MAX in the Boston area while also serving as President for the Network of South Asian Professionals Boston.
Sonit graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans with a degree in finance. Prior to becoming a real estate professional, he worked in real estate development and construction. In that role, Sonit was instrumental in his helping his company: investigate and acquire development sites, permit construction projects with local town officials, obtain financing from banks to fund projects and manage the construction process itself. During his time there, the company constructed multiple single family home sub divisions, commercial office space and several 8,000 square foot plus educational facilities under tight deadlines for a national franchise operator.
As a real estate professional and entrepreneur who operates his own business, Sonit provides full real estate services in assisting clients in the buying and selling of real estate. Whether it is identifying a property, marketing a property for sale, negotiating the best terms or overcoming objections to keep transaction together, Sonit is there with his clients from start to finish. His finance and construction background along with his personable nature allows him to provide exceptional service that has been recognized and on a local and national level. A consistent multi-million dollar producer in real estate sales, Sonit has been named Salesperson of the month multiple times in his local office and been awarded Executive and 100% Club awards by RE/MAX International for his sales production.
After serving as Vice President last year, Sonit moved into the role of president for the Network of South Asian Professionals of Boston . One of the most prominent organizations in New-England, The Network of South Asian Professionals of Boston (NetSAP-Boston) is a professional, not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the professional, political, cultural and civic needs of the Indian and South Asian community in the Greater Boston area.
A chapter of Network of Indian Professionals (NetIP-North America) and founded in 1995, NetSAP-Boston reaches out to a network of over 3000 professionals in the New-England region and over 40,000 professionals in the US and Canada through 22 other chapters.
In his role with NetSAP Boston, Sonit produces and manages events that allow South Asian professionals to network for career advancement, socialize with each other and communicate about business, socio-cultural trends and political issues. NetSAP Boston is a successful organization that has received the Best Chapter Award multiple times.
