Vivek Paul
Partner, Texas Pacific Group
Vivek Paul is a Partner at Texas Pacific Group, one of the world's leading investment firms. Prior to joining TPG in 2005, he was Vice Chairman of Wipro and CEO of its global information technology, product engineering, and business process services segments, a position he held since 1999, Mr. Paul grew this business from under $150m in revenue to over $1.4b with 50,000 employees. During his tenure at Wipro the company listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2000. Mr. Paul was ranked among the best managers in the world by BusinessWeek in 2003, among the top global business influentials by Time magazine in 2004 and among the top 30 most respected global CEOs by Barron's in 2005.
Prior to this role, Mr. Paul was employed at GE for 10 years, where he ran GE's Global CT (Computerized Tomography) business from 1995 to 1999, reporting directly to the current Chairman of GE. Mr. Paul also served as President and CEO of GE's medical equipment joint venture in India. Under his leadership this business was recognized by GE as among its best joint ventures in the world, and subsequently by the Economist as the best in Asia.
Prior to working at GE, Mr. Paul worked at Bain & Co., Boston, and at Pepsi Co Inc., Purchase, NY. Mr. Paul received an MBA from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from B.I.T.S., Pilani.
Mr. Paul currently serves on the Board of Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS), the world's leading game publisher. He is a Special Strategic Advisor to FPT Corporation, Vietnam's leading ICT company as well as Amyris Biotechnologies, a technology leader in synthetic biology and biofuels in the US. He was recently nominated to the Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve of San Francisco, and is an advisor to the Radiology and Molecular Imaging Department of Stanford University

Alan Rosling
Executive Director, Tata Sons
Alan Rosling is an Executive Director of Tata Sons Limited. He is a member of the Tata Group Corporate Centre and is responsible for the Group’s drive to internationalise. He is also a director of Tata AutoComp Limited and Tata International Limited.
From 1998 to 2003 he was Chairman of the Jardine Matheson Group in India. Before joining Jardine Matheson in Hong Kong, Mr Rosling was with United Distillers plc where he was Strategy Development Director. Between 1991-93 Mr Rosling was Special Advisor to the British Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. John Major MP, and a member of the Policy Unit at No.10 Downing Street. Prior to that he was Chief Executive of Piersons, a division of Courtaulds Textiles plc. Mr Rosling started his career in 1983 as an investment banker with S.G. Warburg & Co Ltd.
Mr. Rosling is currently the Chairman of the British Business Group, Mumbai, and the Chairman of the City of London Advisory Board for India. He also chairs The Bombay Chamber of Commerce’s Indo-British Business Committee.
Mr Rosling was educated at Downing College, Cambridge, where he took a First in History. He was awarded a Harkness Fellowship in 1986 to go to the Harvard Business School, from which he graduated as a Baker Scholar.
He was made an OBE in 1994.

Ravi Venkatesan
Chairman, Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd.
Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman, Microsoft India is responsible for Microsoft’s marketing, operational and business development efforts in the country. In partnership with the leaders of Microsoft’s other business units, Venkatesan provides a single point of leadership for the company, playing an integral role in defining Microsoft’s relationship with policy makers, customers and business partners across Microsoft’s six distinct business units in India namely: Microsoft Corporation India (Private) Ltd, the Marketing Subsidiary, Microsoft India Development Center, Microsoft Global Technical Support Centre, Microsoft Global Development Center India, Microsoft Global Services India and Microsoft Research India.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Venkatesan worked for over seventeen years with Cummins Inc, a US-based designer, manufacturer and distributor of engines and related technologies. He served in various leadership capacities at Cummins including Chairman of Cummins India Limited and Managing Director of Tata Cummins Limited, a joint venture between Cummins Inc. and Tata Motors. Under his leadership, Cummins became the leading provider of power solutions and the largest manufacturer of automotive engines in the country.
Venkatesan has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (1985), an MS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University (1986) and a MBA from Harvard University (1992) where he was a Baker Scholar. Ravi was awarded Purdue University's Outstanding Industrial Engineer award for the year 2000 and the Distinguished Alumnus award by the Indian Institute of Technology in 2003.
Venkatesan is a member of the Executive Council of NASSCOM, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a Director on the Board of Thermax Ltd., a member of the Advisory Boards of Harvard Business School and the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and the Chairman of Junior Achievement India. He has contributed frequently to the Harvard Business Review and some of his articles include, "Strategic Sourcing - to Make or Not to Make" and "The Strategy that Wouldn't Travel."
His interests include reading, classical music and social entrepreneurship.
